Measurement systems for the Food and Drink industry
Food and Drink
Non-intrusive electomagnetic imaging and measurement techniques such as Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT), Magnetic Inductance Tomography (MIT), Electrical Velocity Tomography (EVT) have many applications in the food industry.
The ability to measure the mass of flowing bulk solids, with no contact, and no obstruction allows much greater levels of process control and can eliminate packaging or weighing systems. Flowmeters based these non-intrusive electromagnetic methods can also measure moisture content.
APPLICATIONS
- Laboratory research systems for imaging and tomography
- Mass flow rate metering of wheat and milled products
- Process monitoring of dry solids
